Introducing our new junior stallion....

BLUE Hayes Drifter

2009 AQHA Blue Roan

92% NFQHA Registered

UC Davis tested:  DOUBLE HOMOZYGOUS: BLACK AND ROAN

.....aka Boudreaux

Below pictures were taken on June 3, 2011.  Boudreaux has been broke to ride and has about 12 rides on him.  However he just turned 2 in May so we are going to keep up his ground training this year and start riding him next spring 2012.  He's got some spunk to him but I think he will settle down as he matures.

Below pictures were taken on Derby Day, May 7, 2011.  Boudreaux's first day under saddle... and NO he did not buck!  lol  I'm so proud of him... and Ricky Samaniego.  Thank you Ricky!!

This picture (right) was taken on day 2 of Boudreaux's training.  He's NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!  lol

Boo on March 25, 2011 in pen with Lily.

Below pictures were taken on March 13, 2011.  I have been working with Boudreaux, leading, tarping, desensitizing and just general ground work getting him ready to go under saddle.

Below pictures were taken on February 13, 2011.  Boudreaux has been home almost 4 weeks.  Major difference!

Boudreaux is HOME!  You can definitely tell he has been running in the pasture with no human contact for the last 10 months, but he still has his sweet disposition. He has grown a lot in height and now just needs to fill out. He arrived back in Sonora, TX on January 19, 2011.  He was wormed the next day... haltered and leading the next day.  Hasn't forgotten his manners.  Now trying to get all the burrs out of his mane and tail.  He will be a different colt in a couple months.  I'm so glad he's home!

Compare the pictures at the bottom of this page to see how much Boudreaux has grown over the past year.

Above pictures taken on 3/14 and 3/15 respectively.  Boo is now going to run with a group of colts his age... to grow and mature before being sent to a trainer in a couple years.

Boudreaux is starting to shed off his thick winter hair that he acquired up in south Dakota.  You can really see his silver body now.  Pictures taken 2-14-2010  He is such a nice colt!
